Causes
Thermal pollution can be caused by a few possibilities. Mainly, human activies, such as disposing hot water and wastes into bodies of water from power plants, are the reason thermal pollution has really been a problem. Another way that thermal pollution can occur, which humans can not stop, is natural heating from the sun. This causes for temperature increase, which ultimately ends in thermal pollution. The final way that thermal pollution happens is when trees or brush, that usually shade bodies of water, die or fall causing that area that was shaded to heat up.
